Yesterday morning my parents and I got up early (way too early for a Saturday!) and took the dogs to Ashridge, a beautiful park/wood near Dunstable.  Ashridge has a really under-rated, incredible cafe that serves all day breakfast and was pretty busy, even at 9:30am. There was also a lot of people with dogs too, so I was in my element. I went for the veggie breakfast (2 veggie sausages, toast, tomato, fried egg and mushrooms) and my parents had bacon and egg baps. Recently I have been trying out the capsule wardrobe trend so I am currently not shopping for clothing for three months (!!), but that hasn’t stopped me from doing a bit of online window shopping, which seems to be a habit that I’m struggling to break! As promised in my What am I Looking Forward to? blog post a little while ago, today I am writing about ValeFest, a small student-run festival at The Vale of the University of Birmingham (I went a bit picture-crazy as I was using my camera rather than my phone!). The festival was on Saturday (June 4th) and we were so lucky with the weather, it was one of the warmest days of the year so far! On Wednesday we took my lovely Grandmother to Teapots, a sweet little tearoom in Olney, just outside of Milton Keynes. We booked in for the special afternoon tea; Grandma and I went for Earl Grey tea and Luke had a huge hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows (which looked amazing!). There isn’t any choice in sandwich fillings or cakes for the food, which I have to admit I was slightly dubious about, but we were served a perfect selection of finger sandwiches, scones and little cakes which we all really enjoyed.
