If you read my last post, which obviously I hope you did, you will know that Luke and I recently spent the weekend in Seville. As it was the first time we had been able to see each other since I moved to Spain seven weeks previously, we decided to act as though we weren’t university students for an evening, and treat ourselves to a very fancy date night. *Before we go any further, I want to apologise for the quality of the photos in this post. I could blame the poor lighting in the restaurant, but honestly I took…

If you read my recent post about FriendsFest, you will know that Luke and I spent some time in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, a little while ago. Usually, when we visit somewhere new, I do my research and pick the restaurant I want to eat in way in advance. And, seeing as Luke isn’t really a fan of making decisions, this usually works pretty well for us. Indian food has been my favourite cuisine for a long, long time. Especially now that it’s one of the only cuisines where I can eat pretty much everything! The lovely team over at Maaya in Milton Keynes were kind enough to invite me and Luke over for dinner this week, and it was fab. As is tradition whenever Luke and I have Indian…

As you can already tell, The Anchor at Aspley Guise seriously impressed me. Not only do they have an extensive gluten free menu, but they also have great taste in decor and they’re dog friendly – perfect for our post-walk breakfast on a Saturday morning (we luckily managed to dodge the torrential rain that lasted for the entire afternoon). Have you ever seen gluten free eggs benedict on a menu? I hadn’t (until now). Eggs benedict is my…

This weekend Luke and I celebrated our anniversary with a seriously fancy dinner date, at The Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield. I have to admit I was expecting a lot, because let’s face it it is not a cheap restaurant, but my expectations were met and exceeded. Our meal was amazing. (The lighting, however, was not so great. So, excuse the photo quality!) Of course we started with the drinks. As I was being a lovely girlfriend and driving so that Luke could have a beer, I wasn’t able to test drive The Crazy Bear’s cocktail menu, but I can tell…
